Hope all is well with you up there! Like I said, I did notice your absence quite some time ago but thought you'd emerge again when you were good and ready to. I like to give people their space... but had it been *three* months without a word, *then* I would have come bothered you! ;)

Aww, yeah, I've been offline for almost two months. Thought I'd peek my head in and see how everyone was doing and if there was any news on the trio (or, well, quartet now) but pretty much all new posts were about other bands ...

Weekends come by and I've been pulled out in a million directions. Hopefully I'll be home more during the winter months so I can be on the forum more often. Also great to hear In Transit sold well, too! :)

Good to know, thanks! I've missed our chats, too. :)

The new job has consumed my life so deeply that it's almost scary. One of the nicest things is that my co-workers are great and I've even turned a few of them onto my favorite bands, including Covenant of course. :D

*meep* I've got an image of Grok now, but I can't add it. X(

Well, just imagine some kind of green Errol Flynn with antennae and big yellow eyes.

edit: Ha, there it is!

I actually found grok today
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kO1Rl_VW10M
I wouldn´t advice to watch the whole video, for me is a bizarre memory from my childhood that makes me laugh... Watch it on your own risk, it can cause brain damage.
You can find grok in 0:46" and in 2:35"

Ohhhhh sweet Lord! bless the kind Chinese guy that thought about installing an "express massage" stand next to my office!!!
No festivals this year, I decided to spend all my money in that massage eden

I remember someone was posting, in a joking way, about an animated show with Covenant, using a cartoon David Bowie from some show as Eskil and Johnny Bravo as Clas...

EDIT: here it is

Goodness, that *does* look a lot like Eskil, lol!

(And :perfekt: to Designfemme for mentioning Klaus Nomi in that thread... :-] )

We're so non-gossipy here that we have to plunder *other* music forums to appropriate *their* gossip back *here*...

Well, around here, gossip doesn't stay that way long, because 'Our Lord Joakim'* knows all, and answers all.

*Not an actual God, but is still very, very awesome.

Ohhh before mods kick me in a nasty place for encouriging members to gossip about the band, I want to make clear that this thread is not only for that, is for talk and gossip about everything :D

So we can return to ABBA or swedish nobel prizes, or we can bring new subjects like the benefits of a gin tonic!

BTW, it does look like Eskil!
I have to say, few man in the universe has such a bearing, a true gentleman

Heh. G&T. I must say that I don't drink a lot of it, but I especially like Bombay Saphire Blue. It's DE-LI-CIOUS. Still I want to try some other big names in gin making.
And speaking about Bombay Saphire Blue... This time next week I'll be in Warsaw, getting ready for a beforeshow party with Diorama. Can't wait.
Never go never let me go...

I have a dear friend from my childhood that I didn´t see for some years and we got in touch few months ago, and now he happens to be a bartender. Ohhhhh blessed he is! Turning your head and having you favorite drink served, made just-like-you-like-it, with quality stuff and for free, is priceless.

For everything else, there´s mastercard.

Bombay Saphire Blue - Warsaw - party - Diorama, that my friend is a good drink :D :perfekt:

we're gossiping about booze now...

Tuaca. Straight Tuaca. No mixer. Vanilla and citrus, mmmmmmmm.

But SO strong- the stuff will knock you on your ~ass~, and it will do so suddenly, while you are in the middle of a sentence to your friend. Not for amateur drinkers.

(I'm very much an amateur drinker... :sch: )

So, the end result is what my social circle and I like to refer to as The Tuaca Experience. Just mention that you had an experience with Tuaca and they will all nod their heads knowingly and in deep sympathy.

"Ohhhhh, you had a Tuaca Experience..."

Really yummy straight up on the rocks.

Limoncello is another favorite of mine.

Never had tuaca in my life, but seeing the bar-man (my super hero hehe... nana nana nana nana nana nana nana nana bar-man!) this weekend 8)

Gin tonic, of course, Campari, vodka-tonic, and I LOVE Baileys . There´s a drink with cream ice cream (isn´t that redundant?) and Baileys... I think it has rum too... and it´s called something like... frozen baileys? hehe, that´s my winer I think

gossiping about booze is fun too!

I am in love with Sourpuss. It's like the name, really sour. Drink too much, and your throat goes super raw, but it's worth it. Raspberry is the best, but I'm also partial to the Mango (which tastes like a Jolly Rancher of the same flavor.) And we can't forget Jager. :) Or any tropical flavored rum. And lots of other stuff.

RE: gossiping about booze is fun too!

Sourpuss- is that like a Lemon Drop? Or a Purple Heart?

I think I'm in the minority in that I * H A T E* Jager. Even the thought of the smell of it is enough to make me feel queasy. HATE black licorice. It's a Holley-Repellent. Wait, we've talked about this before haven't we?

But yeah, I'm down with the tropical rum, even though I'm not a big rum fan. Too heavy. I'm more of a vodka girl, preferably in the form of a Cape Cod... mmmmm... :P

I'll have to try that Sourpuss.

still virtually boozin' it up...

Try Tuacaaaaaa... join usssss.....

*waves hands all mysteriously in come-hither motions...*

Mmmmmm- Bailey's! Who doesn't love Bailey's?

I like Gin and Tonics too.

But you know, I'm not a fan of Martinis. Too damn dry, though I love olives. In the hookah bars here there are all these yuppie martinis being offered- Appletinis, or other Martinis but they are pretty much crap. The only one I ever had that I liked (a lot, actually) was one my friend made- she makes a killer any kind of drink, and her Peach Martini was amazing.

Sourpuss is a liquor all on its own. It's VERY popular here in Manitoba. Not a social goes by without it being in stock. The bottle says it's made in Princeton, Minnesota, but most search results for it doesn't show it being used outside of Canada. I can't find pictures, so I took one of my partially empty bottle (yes, I'm drinking straight from the bottle as I type this message :P):

There's also Green Apple and Blue flavors. There's some mixes out there you can make, but I just usually drink it straight.

As for the Jager, it's pretty weird with me. I also hate black licorice, but I can drink Jager no problem. Hmm.
