Often sorted in the post-New-Wave dj flightcases, Front 242 is one of the most referential bands in the history of post-industrial music. Since 1981 they created the Electronic-Body-Music which prepared the public to the massive landing of House, Techno, and all Electronic music over Europe.

Now, two (from the three) former members of Front242 perform a new live&mix show: 'CodeR23'. 'Code' for Patrick Codenys, and 'R23' for Richard23. With two laptops and some machines, they mix a great selection of Tech-House with a touch of 242 in it. Powerful and innovative.

Last night i got to see the entire set from CodeR23 and all I can say is "Damn" that was the best dance music i have heard in sooooo long... my friend and i were dancing through the entire set... and that lasted about an hour! I wish i knew what they played, but being from northern california where we have sooooo little cool music i have no idea what they played!!!

I saw the NYE show in Hollywood and CodeR23 really, really impressed me. I've been out of the "scene" for a while so I didn't recognize most of the stuff but here are the very few tracks that I did know or was able to figure out:

Tomcraft - Overdose
Who da Funk - Shiny Disco Balls
Front242 - Headhunter v.1
Le Rock 01 - Vitalic

not terribly helpful I knwo but it's a start! :D
