it was lovely to meet you - it was one fantastically brilliant night. AND they played Tension whhich I've never heard live (I don't think) and Invisible and Silent (critical eyeliner moment  ).

I'll PM you about Electrostat in Oslo next weekend if you're still interested. I have a couple pics of the bands esp Controlled Collapse who ROCKED MY SOX!!!!! and our wonderful Covenant boys and some superb ones of the our little crew.

Keep safe on your travels honey - hopefully see you again soon for Electrostat, Infest or Dark City.

Hugs & Kisses

Niki!! It was *so* great to meet you and your boyfriend and hang out with you! Like I said, you are *the* best person to see a show with. ;)

Yes, I know what you mean about Invisible and Silent. It was unnervingly poignant. Your eyeliner did stay perfect however. ;)
Frankly, I was just pleased that they skipped Spindrift. I love that song but there would have been a little Ilexy puddle right there on the front along with alll the spilt beer and that could have been messy.

I must leave for the States earlier than I anticipated actually, as I have things that must be attended to back home. I did plan for any eventuality however, so it doesn't cut into my trip by all that much. The festival and meeting you all is what was most important. ;)

Now, I just need to make my way back to Berlin by Wednesday morning!

:)

I would subscribe to that as well. Zubrowka is dangerously tasty! As you may have noticed we did sample it thoroughly in Lodz.

Anyway, thank you all who showed up. Even though there seems to be a vodka curse all over everything east of Berlin (I still cringe when thinking of the mayhem in Moskow last year) it's a weird fun sort of mess.

Poland was great. Great people, good music (I really enjoyed every band I had the chance to hear), excellent distilled wares and the escargots in garlic and dill we had in Warsaw were a culinary highlight of the first order. Supernice.

It seems that you're feeling better today :perfekt:
Yesterday in the hotel at breakfast and later at the airport I had the impression that you've still been a bit battered by the gread Zubrowka ;)

Hope you came home well and didn't had all this tubulences on your way through the air.
(I've been shaken in this plain like a coctail  )

I was too *cough* "delicate" to thank you for another excellent show - so now that I can focus on more than bread and tea - "THANK YOU".

I hope everyone got home safely - ours was the first flight I've ever been on when I genuinely thought I was going to die - next time I'll come to Germany and get the train to Poland

Weird, fun sort of mess pretty much sums up my little holiday this time around as I wander from the States.
And thank you for making music worth taking such a long trip for. :)

I will laugh about it soon - i hope!!!. It was the most terrifying flight we have ever been on. The plane was swerving on the runway during take-off and people were using their mobile phones throughout - including some complete arse who was standing up out of his seat during landing taking photos out of the window with his mobile phone. Marc and I were trying to hide our fear from each other - and to top it all they were so late getting in that we missed our connection and had to get a 9 hour bus journey over night - ARRRGGHHH!!!!!!!!!!

On the plus side - the vodka got home safely and we had a great time in Poland!!!!!

Take care of yourself hon

Good lord, what an utter nightmare!! Very glad you and M got home safe and sound. A bit rattled it sounds like, but safe nonetheless. It's always a bit stressful I find when you have to hide how unnerved you are from the people you are with- as if it is sort of contagious and validating at the same time!! "I'm nervous... wait, he's nervous too? Crap! There must really be a reason to be nervous if we're *both* nervous!!"

Or at least that is how it is in my little reality, heh.

Wow- 9 hour bus ride, and a surprise one at that!!

Rest well, Niki- we'll talk soon. We'll have more to talk about, actually- go check out our similar interests on MySpace... there are two we share that particularly stood out to me... *squeak!*... ;)

Hugs,
