seems Instant messaging is broken all over. rest works for me at least

Hi Claudia. I think it is probably the format you used for the custom box then. Because if you set the ".contactTable a" property right, then you can reposition the hotspots and don't have to use the default ones. Basically, by setting height for this property and setting the display to block, then you create your own "grid" of hotspots.

If you are using firefox, you can check the position of your hotspots easily by just clicking over them and not releasing the mouse immediately.. and it shows you the linked area.

like so... (my hotspots have always been a little off in that they overextend, but i have height set to 30px, width 115px)

And, as said before, I think that we shouldnt do this in the "cov info service" - section at all
