The first ones probably have the most ruthless lawyers, and the second ones are probably "inimputables" (I don´t know the word in english, the dictionary says something like: Exempted of criminal responsibility by not being able to understand the felony of a punishable fact or to act according to this understanding.)

Yeah, a great quote. Wish I could sue those who make hamburgers. I don't have a number on how many times hamburgers have given me food poisoning.

I tried replacing hamburgers with asado, and believe me, that works much better!

I should try that. No more food poisoning for me.

Those types always have the best lawyers. :P

Sorry for being away so much, people. I've gotten a new job with wild hours and realizing that there is no such thing as getting out on schedule at this company.

And sometimes they are the lawyers. ;)

I just have to play devil's advocate (as usual) and wave to my lurking lawyer friend... who happens to be a dear friend, a wonderful person, and who likes to eavesdrop on the forum from time to time... don't know if she's reading this, but if you are, heya!

;)

(having said that, she's told me some interesting stories about her fellow lawyers...)

Well, there is no light without darkness ... and no warm without cold ... etc ... and we usually see what we favor as the positive of things. That's natural. Opposing forces really make my mind churn. 8o

I like to philosophize a bit too much, though. I've been know to talk about the natural need for evil and conflict in the world and have made people upset because of it. So that's all I'll say.

Then again, Marci lives within 50km of me, so maybe I've opened a can of worms with her next time we see one another out in the physical world. *hugs to Marci in advance* :sch:

I said "sometimes". ;)
There are nice lawyers in this world, too. I'm quite sure about that. :P

So, dear lurking wonderful lawyer, please don't sue me. I'm sure you would find a reason to do so somewhere around here.

No worries, Lushmachine. :-] I agree with you. There is no light without darkness. Otherwise, we could not identify such a concept.

It is said that lawyers are nice when they just finish their career and still have strong ideals about things like justice... Then they relax... Or find other things more profitable... Or they just get tired, who knows...

Before their idealistic selves become cynically bitter and jaded, you mean? Heh!

It's been a while, but here's a little something about what types of absinthe are legal in the states.

Ah, the things I do on a day off ...:P
