Argh, yes, call me Debbie Downer or whatever, but I experienced two drug-related deaths at age fifteen and that was enough for me. Even before my teenage brain could decide to try anything other than alcohol, any curiosity I may have ever had is long buried with those two bodies of old friends. Even now, nearly fifteen years later, I still cannot forget the power substances had over them in life. That is how people are shaped, though.
My poisons of choice are caffeine and vodka, in that order. I don't even smoke but I still use the "cool" icon. :cool:
I've never seen this and I dare not Google for photos! Meanwhile, the term "goth" is so odd. I try not to let labels bother me in life but this term sometimes does. Just when I argue with someone that I am not "goth" I realize I'm wearing mostly black, find many morbid things lovely, and visions of Eric Draven dance in my head.

I`m not label friendly also. But when you live in a place that is not used to different stuff, you get used to labels. Here, people dressed in black is not something you see everywhere all the time. Me, with my pink hair, I´m used to be pointed at the subway. Imagine this, when Covenant came here, there where 500 people. We can consider that a success as there is no more people in the entire country that consumes this stuff! And we are a pretty big country! So non-fashionable changes here are weird for most of the people...
Anyway, it used to be harder, things are much better since Tim Burton and Evanescence, seems now it´s "cool" to be goth! :lol:
You should open your nightclub here. Since the accident of Cromagnon (in rock a show, the place burned down, 200 dead) everthing is closed, and the ones dressed in black have not even one place to go out.

Actually we have only one small dance club, but it is always full of teens that are more concerned to show the rest how dark goth and depressed they are than having a good time... It´s a dark pose contest...

Gabriel (the guy of the record shop that I told this girl from Chile about, that is the only record shop of this type of music here in the south) organizes very big and good parties once a month for the past 10 years. But since this accident the goverment shotted down most of the big places and we cannot find a good place to make them...
People from Chile have to cross the border to buy cd´s and people from Argentina have to cross the border to go dancing to the Blondies parties

I see. Reading your lines make me almost feel privileged. We've got a club playing dark music every Thursday and two "only-dark" clubs about 100 km away. Occasionally there are bigger parties near our city, too.
We have these parties from thursday to sunday *every* week, sometimes 2 or more at one day. Seems, living in Bochum is luxury.

I would dare to say, the parties and the club-scene here are better than in Berlin (for example). The right place to be for people who like to dance their ass off whenever they like to.
