Now what's the deal with the 3DO port? I mean, the music is awesome, but the graphics and game system looks like it was programmed by 4-year olds.

I had to Wiki that because I've never played it. The general consensus seems to agree with you... yikes.
I saw that there's a homebrew DS port- how the hell would *that* be accomplished with the touch screen? I can't see any alternative but to ignore it.
The touch screen I mean, not the port, heh.

Soemone made a homebrew Nintendo DS port of Quake as well.
I need to Google these things. I would like to see how they are actually implemented. I guess it's doable being you don't really use the stylus for Metroid Pinball (that I remember)...

As far as I remember from the videos at YouTube, the guy made a special way to use the touch pad to navigate in the 3d world of Quake.

Don't know how efficient that would be for S/He Who Fights Monsters, but I can see how it would be handy for the level maps.

Apparently the touch pad would be used to control the camera while the arrow keys were used for strafing and moving back and forward.

Hm, unless one happens to be Shiva I don't know where one can get an extra hand to shoot if a monster comes tearing down a hall at you while you're busy strafing and manipulating the camera!![]()

I'll guess there is a way to master it, as with most games.
