New single in August

The first single from the new Covenant album "Skyshaper" will appear in mid-August. On July 1, the trio's web site will present new material but not exactly new songs - instead portions of some new songs, in the form of loops from preliminary versions.

- Making music is not a straight trip from point A to point B, but rather like completing a jigsaw puzzle: you have all these weird little parts that all fit together in a certain way and with patience you will have a beautiful picture in the end. These sounds and loops are all parts of the songs that will become our new album “Skyshaper” and we thought it might be interesting for our fans to listen to this work in progress while it's actually being made, Joakim Montelius explains.

I'm waiting longingly for the new cd!
But I'm sure it'll be as great as the other ones. :-]

Could someone please turn the time ahead?

Mid August? That would be great if it landed on (or before) my birthday on August 12th. Have me a nice little birthday gift there. :D

Wow. Impressive security system you guys have there for the studio! :D ;)

I think I've had Traktor looping for like 30 min now in the background while I work.. in this kindof persistent subliminal form it's great to work to.. Well, at least for me, as a programmer, I need to concentrate on what I'm doing w/o being too involved in the music... which I do get when there are lyrics and complete songs and what not.

Once, I was bopping around to Covenant a little too enthusiastically while removing extra stuffs in a Flash movie and deleted the one symbol -my entire movie- that I needed to keep, cuz I was a little too trigger happy with keeping the beat while in the Delete. Confirm? Delete. Confirm? process.

Great pics too. That's a whole lot of Gear! Is there a reason there is a candle burning in one pic?

Do you have Flash? First you click the COVENANT logo which pops up the supersized main window and the pre-loader Flash movie. Then it takes a few seconds or so to load everything. Then you click on "CLICK TO ENTER" at the bottom of the page and it goes to the main flash site and there - you seriously can't miss it - is the new info.

If you have a widescreen monitor, the first page pops up a supersized window that is too large (high) and you can't see the ENTER button usually because it's not quite perfect for the widescreen aspect ratio. <-- note for webmaster edited: the actual prob is not the javascript that pops up the window. It should pop up the right size window, but the flash movie set at 100% height/width doesnt fit in the window/on the screen when the window width is at 100%. That's because of about the 45 pixel space from the top menu bar(s) that cuts into the viewable space. (Mac) I think the aspect ratio of the flash is 16:10, so at 100%/100% it wants to be 1680x1050 (on my computer - the exact size of my screen) but there is only about 1005 available for viewing. At normal 4:3 resolutions there is enough space left over at the bottom so nothing gets cut off. It's not a big deal tho.. I just set my dock to auto-hide and I can then get to the ENTER button.

You can use this link to get to the second page which you can resize to be smaller if you wish: Covenant

It appears if you have a browser version < 4 it would auto redirect you to there anyway.

Thanks for taking the time to assist the technologically challenged, kind soul that you are.

Ok,

FLASH: check
"CLICK TO ENTER:" check

The following displays:

NEW WEBSITE
NEW FEATURES

Welcome to the new Covenant website . . .

. . . feel free to explore.

Neither the "FORUM" nor "NEWS" link take me to where I see anything for new music.

(I am Jack. Jack is retarded.)
