Which bands or artists do you wish you had gotten to see?

As you can see from the title this is going to be where we all talk about the bands and artists we never got to see because we were

a. too young
b. too stupid about music
or
c. too broke at the time

and now they are gone...

you can also talk about the bands you are happy you got to see before they

a. broke up
b. disappeared
or
c. began to suck

have fun with it everyone!!!

As for myself... i wish i had gotten to see Sisters of Mercy and Peter Schilling (in the "Different Story" days!!)

I am soooo glad i got to see Switchblade Symphony twice before they broke up!!! One time i saw them with Frontline Assembly... hehehe that was fun!!!

I saw Faith No More in 1991 with Billy Idol... man looking back i have seen waaaay too many shows... it's like someone will talk about a band from the eighties and early ninties and i was there... then the dry spell 1993 - 2001... i don't think i saw more than 3 shows during that period... now i mostly like the smaller club like venues... I will be seeing Duran Duran in a 4000 seat auditorium style venue... i'm in the 24th row! I have seen Covenant 2 times in smaller venues, Wolfsheim in a club, VNV in a club and a small venue. That's the upside to being in America.. we don't get to see these bands often, but when we do see them it's up close and personal!

I am a big fan of Depeche Mode since ´84 "people are people" rocked the charts but I had never the chance to see them (too young...)
well this year DM remixed "Enjoy the silence" and I hope to get the chance for their next event in Germany...:-]

2. Covenant: Last summer I discoverd them because in grey past I confused them with the Covenant-Metal-Band (whose music sounds terrible in my opinion) :sch:, but I hope it´s not too late, ;)

Original von niki_6784I hear Sisters of Mercy are playing some european festival...maybe they will make it to America!!!

The Sisters have the point were they began to suck way behind them!

No one knows because they don´t release their shit on CD these days. ;) Last times I saw them they sucked big time and raped all their classics. Be thankful if they don´t thread your country with their live show.

good to know niggles... wouldn't want to waste my hard earned concert cash if it was just going to be disappointing... i've done that too many times in the past... honestly, it's how i felt about seeing wolfsheim... they have beautiful CD's but live... boring... i almost fell asleep...hmmmm i have an idea for a new thread....

uh, I wish I had been able to see Skid Row!! One of the best Metal-Bands in the 80´s.
There are a few bands or artists that I wish I had the chance to see...
But hey, what shall I do? Move back in time and go to the concerts?
That´s a good idea.
