"Travelogue"

I was wondering what was the "Travelogue"? I am sure that somebody knows out there. Thanks! :P

RE: "Travelogue"

The Travelogue was a companion bonus CD for "United States of Mind" ltd ed. It contains 2 unique tracks, Fuzzy Logic (an oddball poppy/new wave track) and Alva Myrdal (a full-on noise/beat track in the vein of Hypnoskull or Winterkälte) and an alternative version of "Humility". And a screensaver for Win 98 and Mac OS9.

Oh, and a tiny booklet with me sitting in NYC on New Years Eve 1999-2000 writing about the conception and development of Covenant up until then and pondering over the future.

Originally it was intended to also contain the Songbook from the "Synergy" boxed set, but for reasons I never quite understood the label dropped that idea, rendering the name "Travelogue" rather hollow.

And me singing 'Fuzzy Logic' a little too loud today is the reason my co workers think I was getting 'supplies' from the man living three miles out of town who got busted last week for growing pot. :P

Well, Alva Myrdal was certainly something extraordinary. She achieved great things but at great expense. A true, hardcore futurist in many ways. Disregarding the details one could say that she represents the cost of progress, which is why I found it a fitting name for that sort of "song".

The double CD for USOM comes up on eBay sometimes.. for about $30.

I once saw a DJ selling just Travelogue on ebay.de... but I think it would be rare for someone to split up the double set.

Is the screensaver the same one as on Synergy?

Yes. It probably won't work on modern operating systems.

Oh, I love Fuzzy Logic - a great and very catchy song! The only thing about it which I'm not fond of is it's length. It's okay for listening at home but for the use at clubs it's a little too long - at least for a rather unknown song like that.

So I've made an edit of it myself and I have played it at my DJ gigs a couple of times. :D

If the screensaver was designed for Windows 98 it might work on XP as Windows XP has backwards compability with earlier Windows applications. I am more uncertain about Windows Vista though or the more recent Macintosh systems.

The screensaver I downloaded off the website worked in XP. If it's the same one, as I am suspecting, it should work. Either way, one should consider buying this edition since it has 3 unique tracks.
