Right now it's between GTA: San Andreas and Doom 3. I bought the new Splinter Cell game, but of course, my video card isn't good enough for it, so I gotta wait until I get paid before I can get a new one and then be able to play it. :(

I stick to older games.

Finished Half Life 2 + HL2 Episode One. Very fun game! It's horrible that it never came to OS X. Runs well in Boot Camp Beta 1.4 though. Saving the Unreal Tournament 3 demo at the moment. Curious about it since I stopped paying attention to much when school started.

Tried the Call of Duty 4 demo, but it was too silly for me.

Also *trying* to play Enemy Territoy: Quake Wars online , though, being on a university network that uses Packetshaper, I can't connect online until a workaround is posted. Hello bots!

Wolfenstein 3d on gba, and Tetris on Gameboy(yes the old grey one with monochromatic screen).

@xonic:

Have you played Ringworld: Revenge of the Patriarch? It's a DOS game. Played it last year and really liked it. It gets lukewarm reviews but hey, it has Kzinti so I didn't complain too much!

Aaaaaand now I'm officially stuck on Star Fox Adventures. I'm running out of games to run to when I suck at another! It's the level where you are in the ice mines and running up that slope ("if only I couuuuuld, I'd make a deal with Goddddd..."), dodging barrels, while holding a freaking *explosive* barrel atop your head. Running up a twisty slope. Like third-person Donkey Kong, but more lethal. Lethal if I'm the one on the controller anyway. Seriously, this game is a lot of fun and up until last night it was easy and kiddie-like, then all of a sudden they jack up the difficulty to eleven...

At least poor Star Fox is spared a brutally agonizing long death as he pretty much buys the proverbial farm instantly whenever I set foot on the ramp. It's merciful, considering what I subjected Cloud and Aeris to. And I've looked for cheat codes. Level skipping, invincibility cheats- nope, nothing there. Just me and the deafening roar of my overwhelming mediocrity as a gamer.

~le sigh!~

And still I play that wacky game!

Portal has been eating away much of my spare time lately, somehow, considering the game was quite short. The advanced levels are proving to be a challenge, though...

Oooooo! Did you get it as part of the Orange Box? I mean, is it available outside of that do you know? It looks like it would kinda remind me of the movie Cube...

It's available without the Orange Box, I think in the US it goes for $9.99 or $19.99.

Thinking about picking up Call of Duty 4 since on second thought, it is more solid of a game than ETQW.

I downloaded it directly from Steam all on its own, since I already have Half Life 2 and the two episodes. It's only about $20 US. And yes, it is reminiscent of Cube. No David Hewlett, though. :P

Resident Evil 3 being Nemesis? Great game. Nemesis as a bad guy is really creepy.

Actually I never entirely finished the game- the disk skipped right on the last boss battle, so I'm about 10 or 15 minutes away from completing it... :mauer:

Code Veronica is fun too. But (surprise surprise) I haven't finished that one either.

The PSX version of the first one is still the greatest, if only for the Oscar worthy scriptwriting...
