Ha! I saw House of Blues and thought to myself "The hell...?"

Last night we had Armin van Buuren at Lizard Lounge, but we stuff the Ladytron crew into the House of Blues?

The horror! The horror!



(Armin V.B. was really really really good, which goes without saying. Not the style of music I normally listen to but I couldn't help but get into it, what with ~2000 screamingly happy people all around me, *and* he puts on a great show- he does this all the time all around the world and he still managed to come across like he was utterly happy and honored to be there in Dallas. Gracious, lovely man; ridiculously, astonishingly high quality of music and performance. Like I said, I don't get into that style very much but I had a good time and was glad I went- it was a different but very cool experience.)

Didn't Skinny Puppy play at the House of Blues in 2007? Acceptable venue, just kinda homogenized and dull.

btw, be on standby tomorrow evening in case I can leave work early for Laurie Anderson. I'll leave work, come home and swirl around like Wonder Woman into new clothing, swoop you up, and then go to the show.
