Replicants

Ja und dieser Text kommt kurz nach der Schlüsselszene des Films:
Roy Betty tritt dem armen Deckard eben nicht auf die Finger, so
dass er in die Häuserschluchten stürzt, sondern zieht ihn auf das
Dach.
Dadurch zeigt der Replikant, dass er eben nicht eine bloße organi-
sche Maschine ist, sondern zu Emotionen fähig ist - hier Mitgefühl,
und das obwohl Deckard vorher seine Geliebte Pris `ermordet` hat.

Und Philip K. Dick ging es eben auch gerade darum:

zu zeigen, dass es darauf ankommt, ob ein Wesen zu Emotionen
fähig ist, oder nicht.

Im Augen von Dick waren emotions- und anteilnahmslose Menschen
weniger menschlich als Maschinen mit (wenn auch künstlichen) eigenen
Gefühlen.

Und die Taube in den Händen von Roy als Personifizierung seiner `Seele`
