The new CD has hardly left the player since I got my copy almost 2 weeks before it was released!!! Testament, Nemesis, Farthest Star and (the one that makes me cry) Carry You are all incredible... I will be at the 3 shows in California in June (Los Angeles, SF and Sacramento) - who will be there with me???

Gestrn haben VNV einen prima Auftritt beim Blackfield hingelegt (warum war der Sound nur so leise in der Mitte der Show? Vorher und zum Schluss war er wieder schön fett!) und natürlich gab es auch ein paar neue Songs, die richtig gut kamen! Vor allem Tommorrow Never Comes!

Just saw these gives live in New York City. Their performance was absolutely amazing and the new songs fit really well into the set list with older songs like Joy and Solitary (the first time it's been played in five years). They also played Still Waters from Reformation 1 for the first time ever live. Ronan needed a cheat sheet to keep the lyrics straight and told someone in the audience to "Shut. Up." for interrupting, but it was still an amazing performance of a really beautiful song. I thought it was very appropriate because, as he mentioned, the song was inspired by sitting and watching the crowds of Manhattan.

The thing that really stumped me, though, was the unfortunate lack of energy in the audience. I caught up with Ronan at the after party and asked him about it. Sure enough, he said that it was the weakest audience he'd seen on the entire tour. I didn't expect that from New York, but I still had a great time.

I noticed they are all unique, with faces that are all their own.

Crowd energy does have a huge influence. Noticed same thing with the crowds at Kinetik, noise night was very crazy, and everyone was just kinda standing around on the 3/4 electro-pop night.
