Is there a band or musician that you love that is really embarrasing?

I must not be the only one that likes a singer that other people would laugh at. Who else has a guilty pleasure? I like Rick Astley. :sch: He has a very masculine voice, which I love.

My bizarre taste has no limit I admit. You would never believe the things that I have in my "Party Fridays in the office" folder in this computer :D

But If I have to mention one, this is my Top 1.
The great, the only one, Sandro de América!
I go to his concerts and I even went to his birthday celebration this year ahahaha!
If you don´t know him, take a look:

(yes, I did create this Space and I do manage it)

I actually carry this on my back with pride 8)
It is not about his music, he is like a living myth here, the national bizarre version Elvis.

And, I have to say, is the most kind, grateful, and humble musician that I know. Every winter, for his birthday, hundreds of fans organize a 24 hour party at his door, he sends food and coffe for all during this, and everyone gets the chance to get into his house to meet him and have a picture. Even now at the age of 62 and having a very delicate health.

RE: Is there a band or musician that you love that is really embarrasing?

Herbert Grönemeyer, Xavier Naidoo, Martika, CC Catch, Samantha Fox, Kylie

Most of my friends don´t like them and they make bad jokes of them, especial H. Grönemeyer about his voice and X. Naidoo about his lyrics.

Many people would say that Chris Pohl is embarassing, but I like him. :D And a duo Lipnicka & Porter (some people say they want to be Nick Cave, but they lack balls).

Hmm, Nine Inch Nails. Can't stand other NIN listeners for the most part. I think of any band, they had the best remixes done of the 90's. Coil, Plug, Orb, MBM, etc.

NIN is the best you can come up with?!? I beg to differ! I *personally* saw you bobbing around to "Let the Music Play" by Shannon last week at Lizard Lounge! :P :D

I have a weakness for crappy italodisco. Idiot melodies and braindead lyrics, but oh so cheesy good! :)

No one of my favourits artists is embarrasing, but I have some records of Alyssa Milano. Did I forget to mention that I love "Charmed"? And I like this kind of "Bubblegum Pop", sounds like the first songs of Madonna.

Can we add to this topic "embarrasing songs that you love"? Cos I have songs that are my weakness but it´s not that I like the band...

For example, a song that I keep singing and singing all day long for years, that everytime I hear it I desperately need to jump and dance is Magneto - Suena Tremendo. BUT I don´t like Magneto...

Golpeando con las palmas!
Suena Tremendo!
Se siente un ritmo loco!
Suena Tremendo!
Por eso es que lo bailan!
Suena Tremendo!
Te vas a a enloquecer!

Wohhhhooooo!!!!! Dancing on the desk already!
