Depends on my schedule, as usual. But I'm pretty good at tweaking my schedule in such a way that I can go to Europe with some crafty moving stuff around and shifting days and such... I may even be in Europe for graduate studies in which case it wouldn't be as much of a jaunt. I don't want to commit to anything before I have solid ability to say yes indeed I will absolutely be there, but July traditionally (a new tradition but hey, a tradition nonetheless!) is Ilex Wanders Europe month.

So I will do my best and see how things are for next year. I've always wanted to go to the Castle Party anyway.

Hopefully, a certain Panda Bear can come with me... my favorite Travel Buddy... ;)

Trying to fix everything here ASAP.
Saving money already.
Atma, what´s polish typical "let´s eat on the street" food?
How many hours by train do we have to Moscow? I would LOVE to add it to the tour...

Would you be able to take my crazy accommodation method? hehe

*love hug*

Edit: like 20 hours from Warszawa to Moskva, sounds good! I bring the appetizers 8)

I bring the famous Polish vodka that unofficially sponsored the Lodz Gothic Festival! :P

I've always wanted to visit Moskva. I'm rudely inviting myself along on your trip, mind you.

And who better to share it with than my Panda?

I won't save this for Valentine's Day but I thought you'd get a kick from it. It's why I heart traveling with you, dearest girl:

In Bolkow there are no eat in the street places as far as I remember. But... There are a few bars/restaurants which serve great food. And if you mean the rest of Poland... Well... typical fastfood. As for the vodka that was the hit in Lodz - I don't know if you tried it that way, but it's great with apple juice (or even better pear juice I've heard)
As for Moscow... The flight costs (from Warsaw) 3000zloty one way (about 900 euro or 1300 dollars). As for the train, I don't know the price, but it takes about 20hours if the website says the truth (the shortest time 18h, the longest almost 22)
Never go never let me go...

100km to see Covenant isn't that bad, it's not like 2,802km to see Haujobb and 5,648km to see Architect ;)

(back and forth)

For me it is 11.943,52 km from the door of my building to the Castle, in straight line, according to Google Earth.

Following the flight path and including my scales, I bet is A LOT more :)
Next year I should make it in a fishing boat.

Forum meeting in Poland sounds great, count me in!

Oh I should get a t-shirt with a km counter :D

I meant that it's ONLY 100 km away, and I would be kicking my own ass if I didn't make it.
So, LePand, how does your route look like? Where do you land, and where are you staying and stuff?

The Texas Chapter of the GCA regretfully sends its... uhmmm... regrets that it cannot attend the much-awaited for Castle Party this year, due to scholastic obligations of its president.

The president would like to ask that you drink a beer (or five) for her, and that perhaps a bunny will draw a smiling, happy picture of ilex011 to include for photographs that Panda takes, as she will undoubtedly be there with you all in spirit. ;)

(seriously- I had a dream the other night that I was at a festival and I didn't get *lost* or stranded- amazing!)
