Belgium Gothic Festival in July (Covenant, 242, Ebb, etc)

Probably a little early to be posting about this, but not for me, as I am currently booking details to attend being I will be coming from the States. Best to take care of these things early, to account for that inevitable unknown variable that is certain to pop up, heh...

So, having said that:

*Am wondering who all is attending this for certain besides myself. Had such a fun time meeting up with forum members in Poland so of course I would like to do that again. :)
I will be arriving in Belgium on the 26th and I think I will be flying home from there on the 31st.

*Have the ticket/voucher, and now am looking at accommodations, train lines, airports, etc. There are hotels listed on the website for the festival and I would like to know where people have been thinking about staying. Don't know Belgium well at all being I was there only once a long time ago, so tips are welcome. ;) Also specifically was wondering what the best airport in Belgium would be to fly home from, considering the location of Waregem.

Don't mean to spam the forum with incessant questions, so please feel free to PM me or post here, whichever...

Covenant_Girl, Niggels and me are going. I think Niggels will be camping, bit we both girls are staying at the hotel... one of the listes ones. If I remember right, it was the Pejnacker (or however it was written). Sandra hast the details ;)

as you know - i would LOVE to go but fundage has dictated that it's Summer Darkness for me!!Any chance you can make it? The line up is stellah!!! *nods*

Ahhhhhh the lineup is really good! However, I will be in Europe from 18 July until 31 July, so alas I cannot attend. Can't get any more time off. :(

I can't get any time off in July at all because the others in my team have already booked it (I do however get dibs on August - hence Summer Darkness!).

Go International!

Following that advice, I leave for Germany (Amphi!) verrrrry early tomorrow morning. I have to be at the airport in 12 hours from posting this, in fact.

Then later on to Belgium for the Waregem festival... which I am beyond excited about.

Looking very forward to meeting with known friends, and meeting new ones for the first time. LadyKomachi, Elezium, you will be with me in spirit and I will especially think of you when One World One Sky and/or Bullet are played. :D

Vorbedacht, you'll definitely be with me in spirit as I'm cd shopping for you!



Now, back to running around the house tying up last minute details... :-]

why not try to contact jan, mastermind of diskonnekted, with that question? perhaps they're recording the show themself, and he's quite an accessible guy, quite active on the dependent-forum

FYI

Please note: time schedule changed at Gothicfestival!!!

Because the private jet of Kiew will arrive later than expected, it looks like Diskonnekted has to switch their position on the time schedule.

So in this 'worst case scenario' we will start our gig at 2.40 PM at the club stage. Damn early indeed.

We hope to see you there!

And hopefully Kiew won't have a jetlag.

Covenant were absolutely fantastic! Best show of the band I´ve seen for a long time! And let me just say that Daniel adds a lot to the music... his percussions for i.e. Figurhead were amazing!

The show really was fantastic and Daniel's percussion does add a new dimension to the music that is ~wonderful~.

See, I'm not even very articulate because I'm so impressed. ;)

But yes- his drumming, particularly on The Men, added so much depth to an already excellent performance. Mesmerizing stuff. Will stop because am gushing now. Have post-festival happy glow. :cool: :tongue: :D
