[Now my question: what will your new album be like?]

Well, actually I don't know, but I'm looking forward to listen to it!

Music has it's own rules and I can't do much than give in to it and see where it takes me. We have an idea of the Great Album and it is always this album we have tried to make, but, as we and the world are constantly revolving, the result will always be different.

I hope we will always go back to the roots, in the context of the early electronic music. Sprung out of punk, working class kids dreamt of la dolce vita and used synthesisers as their weapon of choice. Listening to Speak and spell in those days could actually get you into trouble in the wrong company, today you hear it in the supermarket. I’m not nostalgic, there have never been so much good electronic music around, and everyone is doing it (for better for worse). Pop music is not only about beats-per-minute but also about growing up, and I’m still working on it. Panta rei.

Musik hat ihre eigenen Regeln und ich kann nicht viel mehr tun, als ihnen zu folgen und zu sehen, wohin mich das führt. Hat man in jenen Tagen noch „Speak and Spell“ gehört, ist das jetzt was völlig anderes… heute hört man es im Supermarkt. Ich bin nicht nostalgisch, es gibt so viele gute elektronische Musik überall, und jeder macht sie (mal besser, mal schlechter). Bei der Popmusik geht es nicht nur um „beats per minute“ (Takte pro Minute), sondern auch darum, sich weiter zu entwickeln und ich versuche das stets und ständig.
