This isn't normal (re: Covenant in Edinburgh this year)

This isn't normal, last time I went to see Covenant I invited my parents along since they liked the last album. But this year the WHOLE FAMILY are going to see Covenant! Not that it matters, I should be up the front taking photos as usual but still... damn weirdos!

In addition to this, my parents are off to see Gary Numan in Glasgow soon, but I suppose thats ok because they were fans back when he started. haha :D

The only one of my family that I got into Covenant is my brother.
But that's better than nothing. ;)

My family doesn't even know Covenant. Well, my parents both turn 70 this year, so no surprise. My brother doesn't have a clue about music, he even asks "Who's that?" when it comes to well-known artists like Coldplay or Oasis.

Im not surprised at all of older people getting into groups like Covenant. They have a mature approach and they are serious and sincere in what they do. And that does attract an older audience. Arent they like 30+ anyway.

Might be right.
But there are also a lot younger ppl. that like Covenants music.
Okay, maybe a hugh part of this female audience "likes" their stuff 'cause the guys are so "cute". :P

I asked my sister to come with me to Cologne, but she refused a day before, although I had given my complete albums to her before.... She doesn`t know what is really fantastic!

I think that the only reason, more or less, why there are quite a few thirty-somethings in Covenant's audience is that many people follow the band since the mid- or late 90s.

I do remember many young people at Covenant's early shows. Guess they are old now. ;)

DDT Lahr

@scotland ... the idea of one´s family is quite quite strange, indeed... 8o

hah. Today I got my ticket for the DDT in Lahr on 04/22... so that will be the first time that I can see them "really" live :-]

@ all the 30sthings of you: ...well, ... I´m sorry. :D but it´s not over yet ;)

I took my then 5 year old daughter to see VNV Nation in San Francisco last year and will take her to Covenant if it is an all ages show... I think it's a great way to share a bond within the family!!!
