O.K., Let´s split the cake in pieces.

Deal ;)

Original von t19a Taking such good pictures needs a lot of skills and experience too.

Thanks, but first of all its need great (and much) Aue-light and an expensive wide angle lens ;-)
Good to see you here! :)

Wondering lil bit how you get the whole stage coz there was two very very big steel girders.
Is there a special stage for photographers in the background of AGRA?
Do you used a tripod?

Thanks, d.h. :)

1) I used a wide angle lens (16mm) with a full frame sensor camera (that makes it real 16mm). I was standing *behind* the girders and *directly* in front of the stage ;-) I've never used that lens and camera before and I'm still impressed by the angle of the lens. (well, I think I have to, because I spent a lot of money on it*g*)
2) Nope, it isnt. Agra is too big for that anyway. Too much space and fog between lens and stage.
3) No, I dont use tripods in concerts. I tried a monopod once, but I figured that tripods are actually rather useless as the "subjects" move on stage and no tripod won't calm them down ;-)

@Claudia & Dani: great great pics! :)

And a stunning light show indeed! A shame that I couldn't make it to the WGT.

here are some clips of the show in Leipzig.

http://www.youtube.com/user/4cov4um

sorry for bad quality of my poor photocam (especialy of the bad rerendering by youtube) but maybe it is worth to see it ;)

step by step they are going to be more clips but I need some time for transfering, rendering and uploading.

to 3) I guess a SLR is much heavier than a pocket cam and holding a SLR with a heavy lens without a tripod is for sure hard....Respect! :perfekt:

(I mean that in an affectionate, playful way, btw)

I'm sure Eskil doesn't need to use a lifeline. He just has to show up, and the producers will be all WHOA THIS GUY IS JUST RADIATING SMART and give him the money.

Ok, I should stop now, lest I turn this thread into a Eskil Simonsson Facts marathon (and get Chuck Norris mad :P)

Heyhey,

Treffen was quite demanding this year, we got back ill and had to start a close relationship with antibiotics hence the delay in publishing reports :-)

anyway - the concert was great and we enjoyed every moment of it :-)

if you were interested in some more words and images, please feel free to check these ( claudia, thanx for the setlist :*)

Is this a gloriole or a light bulb above the head of Daniel?
I guess he gets a new idea/concept.
