I totally enjoyed the Portland show. It was sooooo much better than the last show at the Paris a few years ago. Although, And One was at that show, which made it all better. It was a little strange to see them on the same stage that my band headlined on a few months ago.
I also was impressed with Rotersand. I had no idea that they could put on such a great show. I was standing right under that blown right speaker for a lot of the set, which was horrible. Once I got away from that stupid thing, it was all better.
Covenant, put on a very solid performance as always. I was happy that they played Dead Stars. As noted, Eskil's voice was amazing. I would like to know what, if any, EQ and effects are used on his voice. It seemed that his voice was able to cut through extoardinarily well. And yes, I know that it is also because he has a powerful voice. But it seems like no matter how good you are, especially at that venue, the vocals get lost in the mix. Does anyone know what gear they use live?
