Attenuation[dB] = a [dB/(MHz*cm)] · l [cm] · f [MHz]

Given that the creative process is sometimes likened to tuning in to the vast ocean of creative transmissions in the universe and just seeing what you, as an alchemist-receiver pick up and transmute, I wonder what the attenuation coefficient of trying to please fans is?

Feel the flow and keep a as close to zero as possible. =)

I hope not! Geeks are huge factors of the fundamental force that keeps the world spinning. Even though we don't (usually) make allegorical references to fringe maths, Covenant is securely founded on geekiness. Eskil and I once got drunk while "enjoying" geek punk rock at the Hilbert Café (the social roaming grounds at the Physics Department in Lund). I hope that counts for something?

I'm not sure that the Internet is the proper place for me to divulge the true extent of just how geeky we are (it might frighten some potential sources of income...) but let's see what levels we can achieve while enjoying buffalo grass-enhanced C2H5OH not too far from 50° 56' 0" N, 16° 6' 0" E? Anyone who feels up to the task is welcome as long as someone takes care of the organisation.

Unfortunately I'm not geek.

I'm just a freak.

The statutory freak of the covenant community - hello geeks! :D

My biggest hope for the new material is that it be challenging.

Across the many different genres of music that I listen to, many of my all-time-favorite albums and bands I initially disliked. That is, something about the material did not instantly mesh with my frame of mind, but nevertheless was compelling enough to keep me listening to it. After really getting absorbed in the music, I would eventually have a sort of aural revelation when everything just clicked into place and blew me away.

United States of Mind did this for me. When I first heard it, I ranked it my least favorite Covenant album and proceeded to ignore it for awhile. After coming back to it, and really listening to it a few times, the songs started to just blow my mind. It's now my favorite album by Covenant.

If the new album can do that for me, I'll be a happy audiophile.
I noticed they are all unique, with faces that are all their own.

I would prefer Elles de Graaf, you can find her vocals mainly on several trance projects.
Wait for the chorus and imagine Eskils voice as a duett, I am shure this would work.

I have to politely disagree. In my humble opinion, one of the reasons 242 crashed and burned (though managed to resurrect magnificently) back in the Evil Off days was when they got a female singer. Some dynamics in bands just... don't work with that. It really really put me off 242 for that reason for those albums. I cannot see a female energy in the dynamic that Covenant has. Side project of whomever, go for it. I may not like it, but it won't have anything to do with Covenant then. Or I may like it- who knows. I didn't like Ellen Allien's (sp?) remix of Bullet either, though I like her own music.

Kind of hard to explain. Wonder if anyone groks this.

Too many variables and way too many outliers! Let's relax on J's coordinates and happily gaze at the ceiling effect...

I'm asking, as a not-(yet-)know-all-about-Covenant-fan and a vinyl-fan: are there any vinyl Covenant releases? =0

I'm confused by Discogs and Wikipedia...

Discogs for example says: 'Covenant - Skyshaper (CD, Album + CD, EP, Ltd)'
And Wiki says: An extended play (EP) is a vinyl record, CD, or music download which contains more music than a single, but is too short to qualify as an LP.

So an EP can be a download? 0___o

Okay, my mind is wandering off this topic. About a new Covenant project (say Modern Ruin)... Collabs with other artists would be great. As previously mentioned, Seabound's nice. Although a more experimental touch wouldn't do harm either, I doubt if projects like Seabound have something to add to Covenant.

My predominant hope is that "Get On" makes it onto the record.
