Watched it finally.

Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. The boys are definitely the kind people I would love to have as friends. (Whether they would ever want to know me is another question entirely. :P) I laughed, I cried, I sat and stared in awe at the production of the live footage. I got excited when I saw that Babel was one of the live songs, and oh my, my mind went to this euphoric place when it played. The fact that it actually sounded and looked good on a computer makes me even more excited for the second planned viewing, this time on a widescreen TV and incredible stereo system.

But seriously now, to the boys: in all my life, no other band has made music that has affected me in one of those life changing ways. And getting a glimpse into the hard work and frustration and pain and eventual relief and joy that goes on in making your music for the rest of the world to hear, and even feel, is more than I could possibly ask for. It takes a lot to bare ones soul for the entertainment of others, and for that, and everything else you've done, I thank you.

Just momentarily losing yourself and becoming one with the music (god that sounds cheesy but you know what I mean) and with the people around you who feel the same way. It's elating, that interconnectedness.

I think, anyway. :)

I agree - tho maybe THAT much beer in Poland last year wasn't such a good idea eh???

Do you realise that it's a year now since we met there???!!!!!!! I can't believe it!! I would like to go back and see a couple more cities like Krakow and Warsaw and go visit Lodz and see kr_lik again (and get more Zebrowka :D)

Anyway, Cologne was a great show... where I was standing in front with my cam (well, that limitates me a bit in dacning and jumping), people were mocing and clapping a lot ;)

It did look a bit packed right enough - not as mad as Leipzig tho WOW!!

The light and set up looked fantastic at the Koln show (am slightly jealous ;) ) - I was going to go the the Orkus show there earlier this year until it was cancelled - so I will have to make up for it Amphi-festival.

Koln did look fab tho :-]

:sch: thank you :)

It was the first PROPER touring I'd ever done as well - I never realised anything could be so tiring. By the time is was over I had broken a toe, a pair of boots, a top and my engagement ring (no longer needed!!). The strange thing is, in the vein of what you were saying before, the experience was horrendous yet utterly fantastic! No sleep, very poor grasp of German and travelling between cities was just awful but the shows, atmosphere and people were so wonderful that everything was shiny and wonderful and exciting and bouncy and and and .. i could just go on. It was like rapid cycling bi-polar disorder!!!

Yes, I was thinking about this recently- time absolutely flew by! Already a year!

I too would like to return to Poland and see the cities you mentioned. I was going to do that after the festival, until I got really sick and had to go home early. :(

But! There will be other times. :)

My copy will be on its way soon. I will love it, feed it, hug it and take care of it forever. We´ll be best friends and talk at night about life and philosophy, we´ll go the the park, have a pic nic... We´ll be happy

Until it gets here, I have a screening day fixed with Andrea and Gaby (they got their copy yesterday)

Saturday 17th
14.30 hs Buenos Aires, Belgrano City
Cheese and tomato toasted sandwiches, drinking mate to honor Sweden. Cheers!

(don´t tell my friend, I don´t want him to think "ohhh she saw it already, I will send it next year" hehehehe) :D

I've seen her during Prometheus and CTSTP also.

And people are going to kick me for asking, but who is the woman with the dress shirt and tie in the front row, right in the middle? She seems very familiar, but I can't place her at the moment... :sch:

Amazing job. That´s all I will say now, I will try to make the "argentinian review" to give more details :D

Great job. Really great job.

Hey I´m there too! there´s a subliminal me passing by in Buenos Aires! hahahaha
Like the images in Fight Club, I can only be seen in slow motion, and if you watch it backwards, you can hear me saying something like "You will buy beer for your Lord Satan" in Esperanto 8)

I enjoyed every second of the DVD, I´m a Happy Girl!

so, finally i’ve got my copy of this long, long, long awaited dvd. and it’s pretty difficult to add something to the words that were already said here, but... well, i never was able to write reviews to the music that touches me deeply, and it’s even more difficult to do it for this dvd. i mean... well, this dvd wakes in me so strange kind of feelings... it’s like a big part of history which you hold in your hands, and it’s a lot, a lot, a lot of emotions and thoughts and impressions which you can’t avoid, which run straight through you leaving their tracks in your mind and soul, and it’s the life itself pulsing in sounds and visions.

it was a great joy to see not only the live show (that was really really great, and i’m happy to see it with my own eyes now), but also these little scenes inbetween – preparings to the shows, walkings along the streets of the different cities, etc, etc. but it’s also a little bit of sadness, in a way. i mean, it’s like you journeyed together with the band around the world and now you sit here, carefully recollecting all these impressions and memories. it’s very emotional, very honest, very sincere, very... well, i’m trying to find the right words to express all that i felt watching this dvd and i understand that i can’t do it. all that i can say: thank you, Covenant! thank you for your music and for your words, thank you for this little wonder of melodies and pictures imprinted in this dvd! you’re unique indeed in this world of music.

You put it so well :)

For me it's like watching an event / holiday you went on but through other people's eyes and experiences.

I bought the DVD last night at the gig in Brisbane. Haven't had time to watch it yet. I have all Sunday free so probably will put it on then and relax so I can watch it properly. Brilliant gig, too! :)
