Great, just great! Got to love that album, it is shaping up even better with the time. BTW, the bonus tracks are quite challenging IMHO, esp. Subterfuge For 3 Absynths... Let us know what do you think, once you hear that. Rewinding does not count! :D

In my opinion "Relief" is the best named new track - it really is a relief after 42 minutes and 8 seconds of "Subterfugue for 3 Absynths". As soon as I got home with it, I put it in my laptop and let it play while working. Even though I can't really say I concentrated on the song to give it a chance, I really was fed up with it long before it ended. Not sure if I ever will give it a proper chance, I hope Joakim forgives me ;)

Since there's no neat little text snippet about this long song - how about a little game? Write whatever you feel Joakim would say about this song! :D

That`s a great experience mate! Same here, just that I go one shot higher and explained to my boss that with Covenant on the background my productivity and motivation doubles, and my durability quadruples. Finally I got him to see the Bullet clip and his jaw drop down to the floor - I mean he was totally excited. :-]Hey, don`t get me wrong, this guy is approaching 50, but he has an open mind and loves electronic rhythm, which his two young daughters and wife are playing often at home anyway (so, Richard..). Yesterday evening I presented to him the Ritual Noise clip from Bugs and believe me, within a minute he was dancing in the office with a big smile on his face :-] I decided to make a small present to him soon, as I have 2 copies of the United States Of Mind (ltd. + standard), so I will give him the standard away... Who knows, maybe next time he will join me when Covenant hits Dynamo again, or at least he will convince the top management that Covenant shall play in every office, every day

Richard is a very unique boss indeed. He is real treasure to work with. And not last but least, he definitely has a feeling for dark electro wave and I alternative art 8)

Subterfugue???????

Just a query....

Is 'Subterfugue For 3 Absynths' not a spelling mistake? Surely its meant to be 'Subterfuge'. Its on the cover and the booklet as the former, but I tried looking it up in a dictionary to be sure and it has no meaning! ?(

I guess you're right.
It must be 'sugterfuge'. So the song title makes sense.
Or this is a swedish invention. ;)

I thought it a play on the words subterfuge & fugue.

Is it only me that really liked the calico remix of Ritual Noise?

I like it too, because it sounds quite different, nevertheless it doesn't destroy the athmosphere/mood of the orginal track.

Indeed a very good remix!

2. it amazed me! 8o

3. it made me wonder when i am going to get to see them live again! ?(

4. it pissed me off that the dj i handed it too chose to play dead stars instead of 20khz! :schimpf:

5. it has earned a place in my heart! :perfekt:

The only problem I have with the calico rmx is that as soon as it plays, my subwoofer begins to physically travel around the room and there is no way to calm it down. The calico rmx has an icredibly intensive bass section. It doesn`t even help if I sitting on the thing, it still jumps around together with me (78 kg), while sitting on it. So I would say, yes, the calico mix has moved me in many ways :)

BTW, Ritual Noise in general has been climbing up in my personal reception chart, by constantly claiming higher priority, after each time I hear a variation of it and ever since the first time when I listened to it - live. It is hard to put my excitement in words without repeating myself, but to me, Skyshaper has delivered beyond my expectations. The album is pioneering with sound elements, composing and performance tallent that are clearly gaining on value as the time passes by. This is something that makes an artist contemporary. These are the qualitities of a leader, the others are to follow. Thank you for re-shaping the sky guys!

dito.

And I know that "Ritual Noise" (especially on the EP) ist in a way a more poppy song, but to me it was really moving...maybe because it´s so spiritual?
