Sorry for posting in English - can only read German, not speak it.

There have always been guest keyboarders for Covenant live shows, Clas does have a job, which can probably lead to schedule conflicts.

I know that they always had guest keyboarders from time to time but this was normally just for single shows, e.g. single festivals, and not for full tours. Clas told me about his job which is time consuming (AFAIC remember he runs his own company) but I know he is trying to keep up at least with the tours. This is why its making me suspicious this time - its two times in a row and a nearly full tour they are headlining without him and I heard from various "sources" that Clas is now officially off the band.

I hope it is not true as it would not be the same band anymore, even though he is not bringing much into the music but he has been in the band forever and has a special role in the constellation of the band (Joakim mentioned this in several interviews).

So I am crossing my fingers that this is just a bad rumor....

I think Joakim once said that the band wouldn't keep being Covenant anymore if there was a change in the members (one of the guys leaving or someone new coming in on a permanent basis). So, probably just a bad rumor, as people are suspecting.

I think if there somthing happens/happened within the band line-up, the band will tell the fans in time...

I also see this only as a rumour.

And once again we´ve managed to mix up German/English in a thread. ;)

Hee hee. Sorry. I'll come back to the thread when I know more German that how to count to ten, swears, and the lyrics to Der Leiermann. :)

Hehe. I wasn't accusing you btw. Perhaps we should simply move this thread to the English section as most of it is actually in English. ;)

Oh don't worry, I knew that! I was just playing around. That's the problem with the internet: emotions don't translate well.

Ahaha! Look at me, being all apologetic. I am SUCH a Canadian stereotype. :D

Oh no, that would be quite sad.

I'm hopeful that this is not true. This makes me think more along the lines of a compromise that Clas won't be able to take so much time to tour now but then it will enable him to tour for longer periods of time later. That is what the "business" sector of my mind thinks from personal experiences.

Hopefully this will give him a chance to see that fans find him essential to the existance of Covenant and that will be all. Keep positive. :)

I agree with Michelle.. I believe what Joakim says.. that there will never be a band member replaced or else it won't be Covenant.

When I saw Myer's schedule and it was all the Orkus dates, I just figured Clas used up all the vacay time he could get for a while on the NA tour recently.. and for Xmas festivals, maybe he had person commitments?

About the rumor

Hello everybody,

Is there a way to ask the band about it? Maybe they know more about that....

This is all very intriguing! I'd hate to see him leave, but if he does, it would be nice to see Myer, of all people, replace him...

Bah. Silly, wishful thinking on my part. Myer has already so much on his plate anyway (new Haujobb, Architect, etc.)

But in my ideal fantasy world, nobody leaves Cov, and Myer would be the "fourth member" ;)

Sure, you can ask questions in the Frage der Woche/Question Of The Week section of this very forum, and the band will answer. It may take some time (e.g. when they're touring or busy in the studio) but they will. :)
