That´s cool!

This is one thing Covenant have to achieve - they have to reach different people, not just people from one particular scene. They already do but only in small numbers.

Their music is definitily able to appeal to very different people!

here in california where i live the punk rock scene and the goth/industrial scene crossover quite a bit... there is a psychobilly punk band from europe called the Nekromantix with very goth lyrics and fun music... alot of girls from the goth scene (which is where covenant is heard alot) date punk boys!! but you are right the more they can appeal to people from other scenes the faster they will grow!! everyone i play their music for ends up going and getting some of it...

as for the interview i could only understand about 25% of it... but i saw what i wanted to see... US TOUR!!!! YEAH!!!!now how about some tentative dates!!!!

No tourdates so far.... just rough plans for touring after finishing the new album

Here in germany it´s rather the Goth and Metal scenes...

Absolutely. Muscially Covenant can also appeal to people from the Electronica/Techno scene. ka2 tried and Covenant had a few mixes by people like Ellen Alien or Thomas P. Heckmann which was cool, and Covenant where featured by magazines apart from those typical Goth/Alternative-mags. I really liked that but somehow it didn´t work. Perhaps this had to do with the situation ka2 was in and for example with the delay and availability of the Bullet single.

With the next album Covenant should also be featured in mags like Groove or de:bug (guess you most probably don´t know these -German- mags) and they should be on the bill at the major festivals, not just things like Zillo or Mera Luna and stuff - which are "major" as well when you keep in mind that some ten thousand people turn up at these festivals. But I don´t want to see Covenant on the same roaster with bands like Blutengel, Within Temptation or Funker Vogt forever, if you know what I mean. Covenant must try to reach out for a new audience without losing the audience they have so far. This will be a hard task with a lot of work!

I noticed that medias or people sometimes are rejecting when it comes to Covenant because imagewise they still have for those people this Goth/EBM-flavour. "Naaah, leave me alone with this Goth shite!"
Quite unfair when you listen to their music without prejudice, because I don´t see why someone who´s into Underworld, ChemBros, Gus Gus or even Madonna should NOT like Covenant.

Covenant on a big Rave, that would be cool! Ravers are used to vocals since the Electroclash explosion, anyway.

i have a friend who spins at raves and he occasionally mixes some covenant, a pop b or colony 5 in with his other stuff... it's very cool!!! :cool:

Meine Weihnachtswunschliste enfällt sonst wegen Nichtverfügbarkeit des Geschenks.

Allerdings wird bisher vom Frühjahr gemunkelt. Hoffenw ir, dass die Jungs es auch wirklich bis dahin schaffen

Ich glaub, da musste die Jungs selbst fragen. Mal zwischendurch ein Duett könnte ich mir durchaus vorstellen. Aber sonst find ich Eskils Stimme markant genug, um alleine den Gesangspart zu bestreiten

Soeben habe ich auf www.medienkonverter.de mit Schrecken folgende Mitteilung lesen müssen:

Covenant: Album und Tour verschoben

Schlechte Nachrichten für alle Covenant-Fans, die schon sehnsüchtig auf das neue Album "Skyshaper" warten. Aus dem angekündigten Veröffentlichungstermin im Oktober wird leider nichts. Der Termin für das Album wurde auf Januar des nächsten Jahres verschoben und auch die geplante Tour zusammen mit Rotersand und Client wird demnach erst im Februar des nächsten Jahres stattfinden.

Auf der Covenant-Homepage ist hierüber und zu den Gründen, die zu den Verschiebungen geführt haben, leider noch nichts zu erfahren. Die Vermutung liegt nahe, das Band und Label fürchten, "Skyshaper" könnte in dem Releasesturm der Majors zu Weihnachten untergehen. Verzögerungen bei der Produktion könnten hier natürlich ursächlich sein. Schade ist nur, daß wieder eine Ankündigung nicht eingehalten werden kann...

Für so eine Negativ-Meldung war ich an einem frühen Samstag Morgen kurz vor der Arbeit eigentlich nicht vorbereitet und moralisch überhaupt nicht gefestigt. Jetzt muss ich die Wartezeit weiterhin mit Ersatzdrogen überstehen...

Das ist auch schon Thema hier seit ein paar Tagen im Tour Thread. Sehr schade, aber man kann da leider nichts machen. Vielelicht ist es ja wenigstens ein Trost, dass das ganze dann noch besser wird...

Na gut, nachdem ich meinem Frust ob dieser Schreckensmeldung freien Lauf gelassen habe , drängt sich mir doch glatt ne neue Frage auf:

Was ist mit der Single? Bleibt´s bei dem Augusttermin?
